My, mine, your y yours
Di de quién es algo con my o mine sin repetir el sustantivo.
La regla
My, your, his, her, our y their van delante de un nombre: my bag. Mine, yours, his, hers, ours y theirs sustituyen al nombre: it’s mine. Nunca llevan artículo: se dice mine, no the mine, aunque en español digas «el mío».

Is this your phone?¿Es este tu móvil?Your va delante del nombre phone.
No, it isn’t mine. It’s Laura’s.No, no es mío. Es de Laura.Mine sustituye a my phone; con un nombre propio se usa ’s.
Our flat is small, but theirs has a garden.Nuestro piso es pequeño, pero el suyo tiene jardín.Theirs equivale a their flat y va sin the, aunque digas «el suyo».
Error típico
✗ This is mine bag.
✓ This is my bag.
Delante de un nombre va my; mine se usa solo, sin nombre: This bag is mine.
💡 Con nombre detrás: my, your, her. Sin nombre: mine, yours, hers. Y nunca «the mine».
