Superlativos
Destaca lo mejor, lo peor o lo más… dentro de un grupo.
La regla
Usa the + -est con adjetivos cortos (the cheapest) y the most con los largos (the most expensive). Siempre con the. Para el grupo, in con lugares o grupos (in the city, in my family) y of con periodos (of the year). Irregulares: good → the best, bad → the worst.
Ejemplos
It’s the cheapest hotel in the city centre.Es el hotel más barato del centro.«Del» + lugar se traduce por in, no of.
This is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen.Es la playa más bonita que he visto nunca.Beautiful es largo: the most beautiful.
That was the best day of my holiday.Fue el mejor día de mis vacaciones.Good → the best; con periodos de tiempo se usa of.

Fastest ya es superlativo: necesita the delante y nunca most.
💡 Siempre the delante: the biggest, the most expensive. Y «de» + lugar es in: the best in town.
