Get to y arrive

Di cuándo y dónde llegas sin equivocarte de preposición.

La regla

Get to + lugar es la forma más habitual en la conversación. Arrive va con in (ciudades y países) o at (edificios, estaciones, puntos concretos), nunca con to. Con home no hay preposición: get home, arrive home.

Ejemplos

We arrived in London on Monday.Llegamos a Londres el lunes.Arrive in con ciudades y países.
What time did you get home last night?¿A qué hora llegaste a casa anoche?Home va sin preposición: get home.

Error típico

✗ I got to home at eight.

✓ I got home at eight.

Con home no se usa to: get home, arrive home.

💡 Arrive nunca va con to: arrive in (ciudad) / arrive at (sitio concreto).
